TPR full form in medical term is an acronym for Temperature, Pulse, Respiration. It represents the vital functioning of the body and is measured routinely as part of the constant check and update of the body’s condition. The measurement of vitals or TPR allows for a good measure of the overall health condition of the patient. It is the first measurement often taken by doctors as part of the checkup. Though, you do not need to have any health issues to check the TPR and can do anytime just to assess your health condition.
Your normal body temperature should ideally be 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit or 37 degrees Celsius. However, it can range from the temperature of 97 degrees Fahrenheit (36.1 C) to 99 degrees Fahrenheit (37.2 C). Similarly, your body’s pulse rate should be between 60 to 100 beats per minute. As for respiration, the normal rate for any adult person ranges between 12 to 16 breathes per second. These are the markers that define whether a person’s body is functioning normally or not. You can keep an update and regularly monitor your TPR to see whether your body is at the right levels or not. Do consult your doctor if you see any differences in your vital signs.
