RTI Full Form in Medical is Respiratory Tract Infections. Any contagious illness that manifests in the respiratory system is included. Two distinct categories of RTI exist:
Infections of the nasal cavity, throat and sinuses can lead to upper RTI
Infections of the airways and lungs are known as lower respiratory tract infections.
Inadequate protection against some viruses and bacteria that cause RTIs makes children more susceptible to these diseases than adults.
Viruses and bacteria alike are common culprits in bringing on RTIs.
Muscular pain, Sneezing, Sore throat, Runny or stuffy nose, Headache, Cough
Wheezing, breathlessness, rapid breathing, tightness in chest, mucus/phlegm, severe cough, etc
Most cases of RTI can be managed without medication.
One should get enough of rest and drink lots of fluids.
Antibiotics will be prescribed by the doctor, and hospitalization may be necessary in severe cases of RTI.
RTIs are widely treated with antibiotics in primary care, both for adults and children. One must take care of their health, and stay away from people having RTI issues.
