PWD Full Form in Medical term is Person With Disabilities. People with disabilities are those with long-term health issues, learning difficulties, or sensory or cognitive impairments that, when combined with other factors, prevent them from fully and effectively contributing to society on equal footing with others.
A “person with disability” is someone who has a long-term health condition or mental, intellectual, sensory, or physical handicap that, in conjunction with other obstacles, prevents him from fully and effectively participating in society on an equal basis with others.
A “person with baseline disability” is someone who has been certified by an appropriate certifying body as having at least 40% of a defined disability where that disability has still not been defined in quantifiable terms, or as having a disability where it has been specified in measurable terms.
