The full form of PGF in Medical isthe Placental growth factor. This is a protein in human beings that is encoded by the PGF gene. The Placental growth factor has clinical significance and can be linked to atherosclerotic lesions, plaque inflammation and neovascular growth. Placental growth factor is also known to be a critical biomarker for preeclampsia. This is a condition where the blood vessels in the placenta are narrow and hence cause high blood pressure.
Another full form of PGF that is commonly used is Primary graft failure.Primary graft failure happens after the tissue transplant. It can happen in the case of the heart, lung, kidney, cornea or anything else. Primary graft failure is tissue damage, and the usual cause of this is the immune system attacking the graft.
