NDVH Full Form in Medical is non-descent vaginal hysterectomy. Non-descent vaginal hysterectomy (also known as NDVH) is a procedure in which the uterus is removed from the body of a woman through the vagina rather than through the abdomen. A hysterectomy is indeed a big operation, just like any other type of surgery.

Experts only prescribe a hysterectomy for cases in which medical & non-surgical treatments have been unsuccessful, and then only to women who have finished having children and do not want to have any more children in the future.

Different types of NDVH

There are three distinct approaches to performing a hysterectomy, including

• Subtotal hysterectomy refers to the removal of only the uterus during the procedure.
• Panhysterectomy refers to the removal of the uterus, together with both tubes and the ovaries.

Because the uterus is removed through the normal orifice or hole in the body, the procedure does not produce any scars that are visible after it has been completed.

Because of this, NDVH is commonly referred as a non surgical hysterectomy and scarless surgery. This is because the procedure does not leave any scars.
