FIAGES Full Form in Medical term is Fellowship of Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endosurgeons.
IAGES made a start in this regard with their Fellowship certification programme. Dr. A.K. Kriplani launched the IAGES Book of Minimally Invasive Surgery and held the first Fellowship course in October 2007 in New Delhi. In 2008, Dr. Kriplani organised a second FIAGES course to further solidify the course and its module. It’s among the most sought-after grants available now.
The (IAGES) presents an honorary fellowship known as the Fellowship of IAGES (IAGES). Non-members can submit a membership application online. Collaborating organizations whose members have signed a memorandum of understanding with IAGES also are welcome to apply. Before enrolling in the course, they must first get their application approved by the relevant collaborating organization.
More than 18000 surgeons are currently members of the Association of Surgeons of India, making it the largest such organization in India. It is founded in 1938 with the goal of giving Indian surgeons a place to network and exchange ideas to better their craft.
Many doctors are an integral part of the association, helping to train and advance the careers of many young surgeons around the country.
