Plastic Surgeons

Plastic & reconstructive surgery is concerned with the restoring of a person's normal appearance and functionality. It is a diverse specialty that involves both adults and children, and it encompasses a wide range of disorders that affect different regions of the human body.

The training of a plastic surgeon includes patient interactions, trauma care, and basic surgical methods as well as specialty areas such as tissue transfer, body sculpting, and laser surgery. A plastic surgeon is a medical practitioner who is licensed to practice in a healthcare center.

What does a Plastic Surgeon do?

Plastic surgeons work on the ear, face, trunk, hands, and other extremities of the body, shaping and molding them to fit their patients' needs. They can also correct congenital issues, such as faulty bone structure in the hands or feet, which are common in children. Body parts that have been damaged by accidents, sickness, or malformation are repaired or replaced in cosmetic surgery, whereas body parts that have been destroyed by accidents, disease, or deformity are replaced in reconstructive surgery.

Plastic surgery encompasses considerably more than just "cosmetic or aesthetic" enhancements. Even though aesthetic surgery is unquestionably the most apparent and possibly the most glamorous component of cosmetic procedures, it is only a small proportion of the entire field of medicine.

Plastic surgery can be used to improve a person's appearance, but it can also be used to restore a person's appearance after an accident, a struggle with cancer, or another condition. A plastic surgeon can do procedures on practically any part of the body, & most of them specialize in certain areas of the body, like the neck and head or the hands.

When to meet a plastic surgeon?

  • If you have faced trauma & burns
