With over 18 years of experience in Ayurveda, she is a skilled Ayurvedic Specialist. Dr. Smita holds a senior management position within the company and has played a pivotal role in establishing all the clinics and hospitals of Travancore Ayurveda. Heading the team of experienced doctors at Travancore Ayurveda, she serves as the Head of Practice and Governance.
Dr. Smita possesses extensive expertise in the NABH Accreditation process. Together with her team of doctors, she has ensured that a majority of the clinics at Travancore Ayurveda are NABH Accredited. She has devised unique governance practices that guarantee the utmost effectiveness of treatments through a seamless monitoring process, instilling complete confidence and transparency in patients.
Dr. Smita completed her B.A.M.S degree from BM Kankanwadi Ayurvedic Mahavidyalaya, Belgaum, Karnataka. Additionally, she holds a Diploma in Panchakarma – Doctor’s Training Course from the Center for Indian Medicine, Thrissur, Kerala. She has also successfully finished certificate courses on (a) Legal and Statutory Guidelines for Ayurvedic Practitioners and (b) Levels of Documentation, Clinical and General/Internal Audit, and Quality Indicators.
