TH full form in medical is Thyroid Hormone. It means two hormones formed by the thyroid gland called T3 and T4. Here T3 refers to Thyroxine, and T4 means Triiodothyronine. All two hormones have a significant role in regulating growth, metabolism, and development. The levels of TH are operated by the HPT (Hypothalamic Pituitary Thyroid), which includes the discharge of TRH (thyrotropin-releasing hormone).
Simply put, TH controls the metabolism of the body, in which a person’s body transform the food you consume into energy. In kids, TH is essential for brain growth. Various conditions can lead to abnormal thyroid hormone levels.
Thyroid conditions comprise Underactive Thyroid, Overactive Thyroid, An Autoimmune condition that leads to hypothyroidism, Thyroid Inflammation, Enlarged Thyroid Gland, Graves disease, thyroid cancer, etc.
If Thyroid hormone levels seem abnormal, it may cause visible signs and symptoms. Excessive TH can make it faster than normal, while too little TH can slow it down. Such imbalances cause intolerance to heat or cold, unpredictable weight loss and weight gain, moist or dry skin, and irregular menstrual cycles.
