FICMCH Full Form in Medical is Fellow of Indian College of Maternal and Child. It was created in 1990 in Cuttack as an academic branch of NARCHI during the NARCHI conference. Its purpose was to provide young graduates with suitable practical training who could not get access to relatively limited postgraduate degree & certificate courses.
Its principal objective is to encourage and facilitate standardized education, training, and research in the fields of demographic population study, contraception, infant immunization, neonatal health, child health, gynecology, or obstetrics.
A powerful sense of self-assurance is instilled in them as a result of this training, and they are able to handle a wide variety of challenging clinical issues in their practice.
Currently, MBBS graduates can receive training at the national level in Gynecology, Obstetrics, Child Health, & Ultrasound through the ICMCH.
Current and former faculty members from a variety of medical colleges in India are responsible for the supervision of both the coursework and the examinations. During the past twenty years, about two thousand MBBS graduates who are now successful in their chosen careers have benefited from the program.
Fellowship is by invitation only and is given to prominent medical professionals who have been DNB, MS, MD, for at least five years and DCH, DGO with at least ten years of experience prior.
